Important information for ticket holders will be posted here during the coming week, so keep checking back. There are some updates to many of the pages already, with more to follow! These include pictures of the equipment to be used at Furness Fest, including the main stage (below).

  

News Update 20.06.2008

  • It gives us great pleasure to learn that two Furness Fest 2008 performers have been signed to immediate recording contracts with labels. We can't announce who the bands are just yet - although we know that one is local and the other is from the Yorkshire area! Just goes to prove the quality of this years line up!! Who knows, Furness Fest could turn out to be THE unsigned festival for the North of England!!

  • It's time to announce The Official Furness Fest 2008 Launch Party! The Nines (Barrow in Furness) will be our hosts on Thursday 3rd July from 8 till late! Recently refurbished, this is one of the areas premiere night spots and has a growing focus on live music. We'll be featuring some great performers and we'll be giving away spot prizes including festival tickets and official 2008 Tour Shirts (special limited edition)!! Later, the Homegrown DJ's will be showcasing their latest anthems. It's free entry and should be a great night!! Click the pic for more details of what The Nines, Barrow in Furness has going on!

  • Tickets enquiries are now coming in thick and fast from all over the North of England - so be sure to get one bagged soon! Furness Fest 2008 has a limited capacity and once we reach this, there will be no further tickets available. This summer looks like it's going to be a sizzler, so bring your tent, your beer, your BBQ, your friends and loved ones and sit back and let Furness Fest 2008 entertain you for the weekend!!

  • Great news for our younger music fans! Due to the very good people over at the Town Hall, we can announce that children under 5 years of age can attend the Furness Fest 2008 Live Music & Arts Festival for free - accompanied of course!

  • The Furness Fest daily playlist has now been announced in response to requests by our day ticket purchasers. Please note that day tickets are strictly limited due to capacity restrictions and our advice at this stage is to purchase your tickets while they are still available.

News update 21.05.2008 

  • Catch the 'green bus' to Furness Fest 2008! We're working with Barrow Borough Council to get shuttle bus services running to and from the festival site - so we can cut down on our carbon footprint! Ticket holders will just show their ticket or wristband to use the service. You can go off for a few hours to explore the local towns and village pubs, should you wish to do so!!

  • Over 60 performing artists are now confirmed for this brand new summer live music event!
  • DJ Food confirmed for the Homegrown Dance Arena.

  • Tickets are now on sale in Ulverston, Dalton in Furness and Barrow in Furness shops - see 'buy tickets'.
  • Greg Vickers is now confirmed for the Furness Fest 2008 Homegown Dance Arena.
  • The Homegrown Dance Arena will cater for several hundred people, with 4,000 square feet of marquee space.
  • Furness Fest 2008 Live Music & Arts Festival are now in negotiations for headliners.
